I’m going to give vent to one of my oldest hobbies here: writing lyrics of songs I’ve heard and like. The hobby started in childhood (and more as an offshoot of my mother’s hobby cos she shared the same passion) – we’d listen to songs and the ones we liked, we’d sing them around all the time. Now to sing the actual movie songs completely, you need to know the lyrics properly. Malayalam songs are a little more difficult to learn since they sometimes involve hardcore poetry, so hearing the song some number of times wasn’t enough to know it by heart. Then we’d write the lyrics down after painstakingly rewinding and forwarding the audio cassettes till we’d got down each word correctly. This hobby of mine grew with age, and now I have a collection of song lyrics in my PC – some of them copied from other sites, and some which I wrote down myself after listening to the song.
Since my blog has almost become my personal website, I thought, why not post the song lyrics here too, so that other people like me, who may search for the lyrics can get easy access to them… And so here is the outcome of that thought

In the second stanza,4th lineit is en valiba and not valiva.
Then in the 6th stanza last line,it is
Natpukkul and not Katpukkul.

I am from Bangladesh. I was searching for this Hindi song that I heard courtesy Radio Ceylon when I was stranded in Karachi during our liberation period in 1971.
The song goes like “Dilkey Jharokey Mey Tujhko Bithakar, Yadoon ko Teri Mein Dulhaan Banakaar, Rakhunga Mein Dilki Paas, Maat ho Meri Jaan Udhaas”. I may not have written the exact pronunciations here, but would appreciate if anybody can get me the full song with details of the film and singer etc.
